AI systems

The AI systems section identifies the automated systems that materially influenced the subject or the process used to create it.

This section helps the reader understand what systems were involved, without requiring the rest of the document to keep repeating those details.

What to include

  • Systems that generated, transformed, analyzed, or otherwise materially influenced the work.
  • The role each system played, stated plainly.
  • Only the systems relevant to the declaration being made.

What not to include

  • Systems that had no material effect on the final work.
  • Tool lists that are too broad to be meaningful.
  • Speculation about model internals, training data, or capabilities that the issuer is not actually declaring.

How specific to be

Be specific enough for a reviewer to understand the role played by the system. In most cases, naming the system and its function is more useful than adding excessive technical detail.

The goal is to clarify material involvement, not to produce a forensic inventory.

How this relates to claims and disclosures

The AI systems section identifies the systems. The Claims and Disclosures sections explain what the issuer is actually saying about their use.
