Corrections and reissuance

Issued disclosures are not corrected in place. If a material statement needs to change, the correct approach is to issue a new disclosure.

Why corrections require reissuance

The value of the issued document depends on its stability. Rewriting an issued record would blur the boundary between what was stated originally and what is being stated now.

When a new disclosure is appropriate

  • A claim was too broad or inaccurate.
  • The role of AI systems was misstated.
  • The work changed materially after the original issuance.
  • You need a new point-in-time record with updated declarations.
